Bronx Scholarship Awards Ceremony

Join us for our annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony at The Mall at Bay Plaza on Friday, June 6 at 3:30PM as we honor this year’s student recipients:

The Mall at Bay Plaza and the Bronx Entrepreneurship Scholarship Foundation are unlocking dreams, one scholarship at a time, for local Bronx students! If you're a graduating high school senior and a resident of the Bronx with entrepreneurial dreams, let's make those dreams a reality.

Three scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship awarded will be $3,000 annually (not to exceed $12,000 over four consecutive years).

  2. Write a one-page essay explaining “Why Entrepreneurship is Important to You"
  3. Submit your essay and transcript by April 1, 2025 to .

Purpose

To award scholarships to college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an express interest in entrepreneurship and/or business.

Criteria

The students eligible for assistance must be Bronx residents and must be graduating high school seniors who have been accepted into an accredited four-year college or university with a 3.0 or higher grade-point average. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need, the student’s community service record, and recommendations from teachers, guidance counselors, and/or principals.

Guidelines

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis. The scholarship will be disbursed to the student’s college/university’s bursar office in August. Students must continue to attend classes and maintain no lower than a 3.0 grade-point average (or equivalent).

Amount

Each scholarship awarded will be $3,000 annually (not to exceed $12,000 over four consecutive years).

Guidelines

Three recipients will be selected by an independent committee based on application materials provided.
